About school
MBBC is one of Queensland’s Top 50 Schools and offers a nurturing environment, Christian values and an academic programme based within the International Baccalaureate (IB) which encourages students to think critically, challenge and question. A dedicated group of teachers, exceptional Co-Curricular opportunities, a comprehensive digital programme and a strong pastoral care initiative provide an outstanding student experience. The boys are also able to participate in social, cultural and academic activities with the College’s sister school, Moreton Bay College. As well as developing the skills and talents he has already discovered in himself, your son will be able to add new strings to his bow. Boys can engulf themselves in the full and diverse experience of MBBC life. We have a wide range of specialised Co-Curricular programmes including: Sports, Visual and Performing Arts, clubs and Leadership groups, interschool competitions, camps and expeditions, community service and mentoring. Discover a world of opportunities at MBBC Prep where our learning is designed around the distinctly different way boys think and learn. We provide boys with a wide range of experiences and a stimulating and challenging environment in which to grow. Rotating through play-based, structured, and outdoor learning, our specialist Prep teachers develop physical, creative and technical skills in our young learners. An all-boys environment allows us to develop our resources towards the particular needs of boys, from the books they prefer to read to larger sized classrooms, high levels of technology and large, open spaces to play and build relationships. We believe our boys should be able to engage in a wide range of academic and Co-Curricular endeavours and be free to express themselves in a way that is unlimited by stereotypes. We select teachers who are passionate about working with boys and who value and understand the specific way boys learn. Our teachers are experts in boys’ education who are committed to providing quality, innovative education and positive role modelling and mentoring.
